Crafts Direct began as a Ben Franklin Crafts store in 1990, but changed its name in 1996 to Crafts Direct. Back then, store founders and owners John and Diane Schlecht had a vision to inspire people by providing a fun shopping experience, and that vision lives on as they work with their children Scott and Jason and a team of dedicated employees to bring you the kind of store you love to shop.

At Crafts Direct, we believe it’s important to give back to the community as well as support our customers in the work that inspires them.
